comfort food for the soul
Rainy today and rain always complements those lazy afternoon naps under the quilt, tucked away from the world- only my pillow and me for an hour and a half. When I was still a child, my granny always prepares teatime snacks for us after our siestas. I did the same for myself after the much needed reprieve. I guess I wanted very much to remember what it is like to be adored and pampered so very unconditionally.
Ingredients of blissful childhood memories:
Hot milo (3 scoops)
Milk maid condensed milk (2 tsps) and
hot water
That and a few pieces of cream crackers to dip into the hot milo before going back to playing.
For that peaceful blissful time of happy oblivion and protection, i will forever be grateful to her, my granny.
She is my milo, my milkmaid and my cream crackers.
another milo recipe:
you need one egg, milo, condensed milk, boiling water.
Break the egg into a tall glass, add milo, milk and add boiling water. Stir and serve. Love the egg yolk bits. Yumm…
